Zenyatta

Zenyatta (affectionately known as "Miss Z") is quite the little lady! Over her stay at Paws and Claws, she has wiggled her way into the hearts of so many Paws and Claws volunteers and staff members. Zenyatta has such an identifiable look: her cow-spotted coat, in combination with her big, green eyes make her impossible to miss. Outside of her appearance, she has a lovable personality to boot. She LOVES getting her ears scratched and will roll around on the floor happily to show you how much she's enjoying it. Zenyatta is also very playful and adores her string toys, springs, and her beloved cardboard boxes. Every week, Zenyatta is brought a new cardboard box, which she immediately jumps into and rolls around in. While living on-site rooms, Zenyatta has also gotten the chance to show off her penchant for kittens -- staff have even caught her grooming some of the kittens in the room with her, and taking naps curled up with them! Some other adorable quirks include: playing hide and go seek with her bug toy and scratching ramp, stretching her paws out really far to say hello, and standing up on her hind legs when she really gets into playing and pets.

Lychee

Yuzu and Lychee are truly a special pair of young sisters. They have the sweetest personalities and bring such a wonderful balance to a home! Yuzu is so affectionate and loves to be held, purring away and sticking close. She’s also an especially empathetic kitty who comes to comfort you when she senses someone is upset. Lychee is playful, funny, and chatty, but she also loves being held and petted and will happily soak up affection. They play, nap, and keep each other company, but they also form such loving bonds with their people. Anyone who adopts these sisters won’t just be getting two beautiful cats; they’ll be welcoming two devoted companions into their family.

Lychee has a combination chirp/meow to signal that it’s time to pet or hold her, and basks in the love. While she prefers snuggles in sweet, manageable doses (she does have important play sessions to attend to), she really enjoys being held, and staying close to her people. After a burst of zoomies or a wand session (she also loves cat tunnels and bird toys), Lychee is happy to curl up (or sprawl out belly up) nearby and relax. If her human is close, she’ll even stretch her paws out to gently knead their hand. She is one of *very* few cats who actually enjoys having her belly petted when she’s relaxing!

Yuzu

Yuzu and Lychee are truly a special pair of young sisters. They have the sweetest personalities and bring such a wonderful balance to a home! Yuzu is a very sweet, affectionate young girl who loves to be petted and held by her humans (she’ll purr and purr). She’ll softly meow to seek out pets and will climb into your lap for snuggle time. Yuzu loves having her cheeks stroked (and she has incredibly soft fur!). She’s happiest sticking close to her human, and makes an excellent work companion (she’ll stake out a spot on your desk to keep you company). Like her sister, she adores wand toys and bird toys, and balances playful energy with long, peaceful rests (especially on soft blankets!). She’s also attuned to her humans’ emotional states - when the foster family’s child has cried in the same room as Yuzu, she’ll promptly run over to sit by the child for comfort.

Valerie

What's not to love about Valerie? From her black-and-white bandit mask, to her absolutely adorable seal impression, all the way to her introverted nature, she is a perfect cat. Valerie first came into the care of Paws and Claws in April of 2025, and has been looking for her forever home since then. When she first arrived at her foster home, Valerie was clearly scared -- she hid away from humans, and rebuked their attempts at kindness. Over the 487 days since her arrival, she has blossomed into a totally different cat. While she doesn't seek out cuddles, she does accept polite headscratches. Valerie isn't the type of cat to curl up into your lap, but she will sit on the back of the couch while you're watching TV, or lay at the foot of the bed as you read. If you're lucky, you may even wake up one morning and notice that she's curled up right next to you, happily snoozing away. She will greet you at the door when you come home, and let out demanding little meows when she wants her favorite snacks, peanut butter or cheese. Valerie has settled into the housecat life so well that she has favorite foods. She feels safe enough to ask her humans for them, too. Valerie's perfect person will need to be someone calm, who respects her need for independence. In return, she promises to keep you safe by monitoring the outside world through the windows, and letting you know when birds or squirrels pass by. Valerie won't be everyone's perfect cat, but she doesn't have to be. She just needs one person to see the perfect companion she already is -- one person to give this senior gal the chance she deserves.

Shallot and Scallion

Meet Shallot and Scallion! These two lovely sisters are and ready to find their forever homes after having been at Paws and Claws for over 160 days. Both of these girls love window-watching, so their foster started taking them for "walks" outside in a cat stroller! Their curious, exploratory nature doesn't end there, however, as they both love to see what you're getting up to. Shallot typically takes the lead as the more outgoing sister, but Scallion still loves attention too -- when she notices you're getting ready for bed, she'll curl up next to you and settle down for the night. Their favorite way to play is chasing toys or treats thrown across the room, like playing fetch! Together, these girls add a nice, comforting presence to any home, and have so much love to give!

Abominable Snowman

Meet this gentle giant, Abominable Snowman! You can really tell just from his picture just how much of a sweetheart this guy is: he loves lap-sitting, snuggling, and napping -- the perfect couch-potato companion for binge-watching a TV show. Winter is just around the corner, so adopt this fluffy pal now, so you'll have your heated blanket and snowed-in bestie ready for when the temperatures drop.

Chard

Chard is a buttery soft boy with a lover's heart. He needs a bit of space to open up at first, as he can be nervous around strangers. With some encouraging pets and scratches, he becomes a true snuggle bug who cannot get enough of people.

MeeMaw

Meet your MeeMaw! Just like an actual grandma, this little lady is so loving and sweet. Her favorite thing to do, when not keeping watch of her rambunctious brother, PeePaw, is to fall asleep on people's chests. When she first arrived to her foster home, MeeMaw needed to be hand-fed. In an effort to keep her warm and comfortable, her foster put MeeMaw inside of their sweaters and kept her close to their chest. Even though she's fully recovered and getting bigger, MeeMaw still loves to sleep on people's chests and will curl up into a little ball on you every chance she gets. Her perfect person is someone who wants an affectionate velcro-kitty: she absolutely adores people, and being around them makes her all the more confident! While in her foster home, MeeMaw also "drew" a portrait of herself by holding a dry erase marker between her two paws.

PeePaw

Meet your PeePaw! This old-man-trapped-in-a-kitten's-body is a little rascal with boundless energy. His foster's favorite thing about him is just how expressive he is -- PeePaw always looks like he's getting caught doing something he shouldn't. His favorite place to lounge is on laptop keyboards, though he can usually be found sleeping next to his sister, MeeMaw. His foster's favorite quirk of his is that PeePaw goes "noodle mode" as soon as you pick him up, just flopping around in your arms, ready for pets. His perfect person is someone who can supply endless amounts of cardboard boxes and treats, and who has arms long enough to fish his spring toys out from under the stove when he knocks them under. As a bonus, he'd love someone who will let him nap on their lap!

Dante

This sweet, bookish boy is Dante! After spending the first six years of his life as a community cat, he came to the door of an Indiana rescue, ready to retire, and eventually worked his way to Paws and Claws Cat Rescue. In his foster home, he's gentle and sociable, following his foster from room-to-room to keep tabs on what they're getting up to. Dante has also integrated in well with his foster's cats, and has even endured some very long grooming sessions with the patience of a saint! It is that exact patience that makes us believe he would make a wonderful, intelligent family cat. He isn't much of a cuddler, instead preferring to spend his energy with some intense playtime. His favorite way to play, and his foster's favorite quirk of his, is that he wraps his wand toys around table and chair legs to use them like kicker toys. After a long, tiring play session, Dante will usually curl up right next to his toys. It's so amazing to witness his pure relaxation, stretched out and feeling safe, knowing how many years he spend on-guard outside. Dante's perfect human is someone wanting a chill, more low-maintenance companion, ready to be by-your-side for years to come. We know he's ready for it!

Black Pearl

Ahoy, matey! Step aboard our ship and meet this swashbuckling litter of 5. These well-socialized kittens have VERY hearty appetites -- true pirates who are not afraid of plundering food from each other. As ferocious as these hardened sea raiders may be, they melt when it comes to human affection. They love lap sitting, pets, and being carried around the house like the babies they are!

Out of his litter, Black Pearl has the most impressively round tummy!

Dauntless

Ahoy, matey! Step aboard our ship and meet this swashbuckling litter of 5. These well-socialized kittens have VERY hearty appetites -- true pirates who are not afraid of plundering food from each other. As ferocious as these hardened sea raiders may be, they melt when it comes to human affection. They love lap sitting, pets, and being carried around the house like the babies they are!

Out of his litter, Dauntless is mischievous and is the most likely to escape from the cat room. He also loves cat treats the most.

Minos

This leggy boy is Minos, nicknamed Sir-Meows-a-Lot by his foster! It goes without saying that this boy is chatty -- if he's moving around, he's providing live commentary on what he's thinking. He loves people, and will always be looking for snuggletime opportunities, especially in bed (and don't blame him if he is a bit of a bedhog!) On his own, he's playful and curious, and certainly able to entertain himself without human help.

Long John Silver

Long John Silver is a beautiful little kitten, full of love and lots of wiggles! He adores people and will purr nonstop when being held. Long John Silver has tons of playful energy, and will make for a great, energetic companion!

Frankie

Frankie is a terrific companion, being the perfect combination of affectionate and independent. He greets his humans at the door when they arrive home, and hangs out nearby until he's ready for independent exploration. His favorite place, in his foster home, is the windowsill, where he can observe the sights and sounds of the outside world. He can have a playful streak too, especially when presented with ribbons or wand toys!

Estelle

Estelle is a big-eyed girl with an even bigger personality, and, if you can believe it, an even bigger heart. She absolutely adores people and isn't shy about showing it: she enjoys snuggles and will happily purr away when she's getting attention. Over the 167 days Estelle has been at Paws and Claws, staff and volunteers have gotten the chance to see her quirks all out on display. She has *personality* for sure: she loves to climb on people's shoulders, lounge all stretched out in positions that make you wonder "how in the world could that be comfortable?", and a penchant for wet food that rivals any other cat. She has lots of energy, but luckily found her perfect playmate at our adoption center: her best friend, Elm! They keep each other on their toes, and most importantly, help tire each other out. If you're wanting a spirited kitty (who, truthfully, acts more dog-like than cat-like), Estelle, and her best friend, Elm, are the cats for you.

Elm

Elm arrived at Paws and Claws in April, and has spent the majority of this time living on-site, getting to know all of the new faces--feline and human--that have come through our doors. He does exceptionally well with new people, and there's never been a dull day over the 120+ days he's been in our care. When he is ready to play, he does so with his whole heart, and luckily finds his perfect playmate in Estelle. Together, they keep each other occupied for hours through play-wrestling and batting around toys. Elm's motto is: play hard, love harder, and rest hardest! When he's ready for some attention, he curls up in the nearest lap and snoozes away. Whoever adopts Elm and Estelle will be lucky to have these two goofballs to keep themselves occupied!

Treasure Island

Treasure Island is certainly a little treasure! Her favorite way to play is with a paper ball, which she bats around until she tires herself out. Once sleepy, she cuddles herself up in your lap for a nice nap. At night, she crawls right next to you in bed for snuggles until you both fall asleep. Sound perfect? Then meet her today!

Mirage

At 10 years old, Mirage is a gentle older lady ready to find the perfect home to spend the rest of her years in! This girl is oh-so-cuddly, and will never say no to binge-watching a television series with you, so long as you have a lap and hand available for snuggles and pets. In turn, she'll reward you with her calming, consistent purr. Additionally, she's truly never met a stranger, and is happy to greet everyone new she meets like they are already her best friend.

Frittata

Frittata is certainly an apt name for this charming girl, as she loooooooves her food. Treats are certainly the way to this girl's heart! She also loves some solid playtime, especially with her current favorite toy, -- although she does tend to cycle through them -- a three-tiered ball-in-track. If humans are involved, however, Frittata will never say no to a wand toy session. When she's tuckered out and her stomach is full, Frittata enjoys simply following her humans around the house, just to keep them company. This relaxing girl just needs a soft place to call her forever home!

Siena

Siena is a petite sweetheart with a gorgeous tri-colored soft coat, ready for pets! When she's happy and engaged, she adorably wags her tail like a dog. She's an interactive cat, who loves to express herself with happy little chirps. When you come home after being away, she greets you at the door and keeps up her end of the conversation, filling you in on what's been going on as you've been away with her meows. Siena is always up for toy-time and enjoys chasing games -- if you want to play with her, she'll never say no, but she can make her own fun chasing toys from one end of the room to the other. When you meet her, give her some scritches on her head and ears -- you'll get some very satisfied chirps!

Pauline

Pauline is the best little kitten you could ask for: affectionate, playful, and oh-so-soft! She loves to be held, and her favorite position is relaxing with her paws and head on your shoulder while she just purrs away. When her foster first welcomed her home, she came right out of her carrier and waited to be picked up in their arms. Pauline could truly be happy spending all day tucked under your chin!

Petrova

Petrova, or Petra in her foster home, is a little sprite -- very playful, goofy, and so much fun! She has the perfect tabby-tiger markings, and, when she falls asleep on her back, you can see the cutest little spotted belly. She's a confident kitten with lots of energy, often too busy with playtime to stop for pets, but when she does slow down, she's very affectionate and full of purrs.

Martin

Martin is very, very, very VERY (did we say it enough times?) loving. From the minute a human enters the same room he's in, Martin is purring and rubbing against their legs. When you start petting him, he crawls into your lap and may even lick your hands, like a dog would! At night, he loves to sleep curled up by his people's feet, behind their legs, and even right up on their shoulders. Martin is a loving boy, and all he needs is a forever home to continue blossoming in!

Marsala

Marsala is a sweet and gentle girl, perfect for someone wanting a companion on the quieter side. She luxuriates in the finer things in life: having her beautiful long fur brushed, getting back-scratches, and napping in laps. Marsala flourishes with individualized attention, so if you visit the adoption center, make sure to say hi and feel just how soft she is for yourself!

Vonnegut

Vonnegut is a gentle boy with a big appetite and the vocal range of Pavarotti. At 8 months old, he was found in a park, abandoned inside of a cage. He hasn't let this rough start to life dampen his spirits, however. Although he may take some more time to warm up to new humans, he has a curious heart, and his desire to explore will always win over his timidness. Vonnegut spends plenty of time on his own, usually investigating new toys or unexamined parts of his foster home, but always reappears when it's time to eat! He is a curious, easy-going, and good-hearted boy, and we can promise that earning his trust is a rewarding experience.

Cheddar Bay Biscuit

While they may not be everyone's cup of tea, they certainly have won our hearts at Paws and Claws with their gentle, charming, and goofy natures. Once they've gotten to know you, they are incredibly affectionate, and purr as soon as they see their humans enter into the room. Their biggest motivation? Food and attention. They much prefer to relax over playing! That's why their ideal home is with a human who can be a couch potato with them. Both boys are as sweet as can be, and will do extraordinarily well in a calm home for the rest of their golden years.

Medea

Medea is a sweet, curious little girl who just loves to spend time with her person. She's more than happy to fawn all over you, purring, while you give her love, but is also content to just share the room with you while you work. She recently had to have her arm amputated, but gets around just fine without it! Her playful side is starting to come out now that she's finishing up her recovery. If you toss her a mouse toy, don't be surprised if she takes it and runs! Medea is a true lovebug with the perfect amount of playfulness. One look into her amber eyes and you won't be able to resist falling in love with her.

Toccata and Fugue

These two musical boys are Fugue and Toccata, and they're very happy to meet you! Toccata is a playful little gentleman. While he may be shy at first, it only takes a crinkle ball toy for him to start bouncing around like an acrobat. His favorite place to be? Napping, right behind his brother, Fugue! Fugue's number one talent is that he is an expert sniffer -- he will explore every inch for the house before he chooses his favorite spot. He's a big fan of snacks, and an even bigger fan of his best friend and brother, Toccata. Here's a secret: if you give him something yummy, Fugue will let you cradle him until he falls asleep!

Chervil

Who wouldn't want an orange rapscallion in their home? If you agree, then you just have to meet Chervil. This 3-legged boy hasn't let his back-leg amputation slow him down whatsoever. He has an endlessly curious spirit, and loves figuring out how to get on things, under things, near things...you get the point: he is clever and persistent. He can be a bit of a clumsy goober at times, but his perfect humans would be someone willing to help him out and love him through his tumbles and miscalculated jumps. Chervil absolutely loves being in the same space as his humans; although he's not a super cuddler, he will lay up against you and make biscuits on blankets. He'd love a human that adores his quirkiness and energy!

Altair

Altair is a gentle soul, looking for a peaceful home to rest in. He may be initially shy, but he certainly cannot resist a good ear scratch and will warm up quickly with a bit of affection. Once comfortable, Altair is always welcoming of attention, and stays calm regardless of the environment -- 100% a very good boy, even when the vacuum is out! He's very communicative about what he likes, and will tell you just how happy he is with his sweet meow. He may look like a panther, but Altair is an all-around teddy bear.

Aubrey Plaza

Aubrey Plaza is a warm, friendly girl who will gladly curl up on the couch next to you or “boop” your hand for pets. She’s quickly become more comfortable exploring her foster home, and some of her favorite spots including her foster mom’s desk chair and the windowsill. The more peculiar the toy, the better — Aubrey’s favorite is a mouse tied to a pen. Her signature move is the “flop and roll” — and if you’re lucky, she’ll allow you some belly pets!

Maple Syrup & Molasses

These two girls are sweeter than sugar -- meet Molasses (left) and Maple Syrup (right)! They are, to quote their foster, "the best." They're happy to play, especially when presented with plush mice or balls, but are just as happy to laze around and nap. They love people, and make the most wonderful biscuits when they're being pet, but they enjoy time away from humans, where they can groom and play with one another independently. If you want a relaxed set of bonded girls, Molasses and Maple Syrup are for you!

Excavator

She is an affectionate girl who loves hanging out with her person, whether that be cuddling in their lap or sitting on a window perch nearby. Her perfect person is someone who understands the importance of morning cuddles, as Mallow loves to wake her person up in the morning to snuggle -- her foster does report that Mallow knows what the snooze button is, however! Playtime is important to Mallow too, so she hopes to find her forever home with someone who won't mind waving a wand toy around for her. She is a sweet, affectionate, and playful girl who would make an excellent lifelong companion.

Jolly Roger

Yo-ho! Make sure you don't miss out on looking at these two orange tabby brothers, Tick-Tock and Jolly Roger. Jolly Roger, the bigger of the two, is inquisitive and energetic. He has a hearty appetite, enjoying eating, playing with toys, and frolicking with his brother. Tick-Tock, the smaller brother, tends to be a bit more cautious when it comes to new experiences. Once he gets comfortable around you, he can't stop himself from coming over and saying hi and getting some pets. Together, these two promise a lifetime of fun -- all they're missing their forever home!

Flying Dutchman

In his litter, Flying Dutchman is the most athletic, active, and goofy. His name suits this stuntman well. Once he's tired himself out, he will come to his human for a cuddle.

Crepe

Crépe is a bitsy cat who is gentle with her human and would enjoy a quiet life watching over you. She's got her fussy and grumbly vocalizations, but actually she's quite pleased with many simple things. She enjoys a sunny spot on the bed or nearby ledge to watch the world out the window while being near you, or having a third or fourth nap in her favorite round scratcher/bed combo. She might crawl into your lap if you have a plush blanket and you can lean in to hear her very soft purrs!

When it's playtime, you can enjoy chuckling at her dive, slide, and roll over in pursuit of a wand toy (especially on a bed!), her delight dashing through a tunnel, or when she grumbles and clutches a rolled up towel or yoga mat to rabbit-kick it excitedly. More often than not, she's spent after a few sprints and would like to plop on her side and have you dangle the wand toy for her to bat around. She's a great companion for reading time, movie night, and nap time.

Mr. Smee

Mr. Smee may not be an old man, but he certainly has the soul of one! This spunky little guy takes his role as household supervisor very seriously and likes to keep a close eye on his favorite people at all times. If you get up to leave, expect some dramatic grumbling and a well-timed flop across your legs as he tries to convince you to stay put. Despite his grouchy commentary, Mr. Smee is incredibly affectionate and loves snuggling close, especially if it means giving you one of his signature face-smush greetings. This quirky, loyal companion is ready to bring plenty of love and cuddles to his forever home.

Platy

Meet Platy, a confident kitten who knows exactly what she wants. She's happy to do her own thing on her own schedule, but when she’s ready for snuggles, she comes right in for them, no hesitation. She’s fearless, unbothered by pretty much anything life throws her way, and has the cutest little meow you’ll ever hear. And when the zoomies hit, watch out — she turns into a tiny tornado of pure energy! Platy is a spunky, sweet kitten with so much personality packed into one cat.

Bluejay

Bluejay is a tweety three-year-old girl with the personality of a kitten! She's always ready for a play session, and is (of course) fond of an interactive toy she and her human can play with together, but she can just as easily entertain herself by batting a toy around the room. Once she is there, she realizes how good it feels to be pet and starts purring away. She is neat in her litterbox and does her best to cover up. She has a very relaxed personality and is very chill when trimming her nails.

Arcturus

Arcturus is a sweetheart, named after one of the brightest stars in the night sky. After getting to know him, we're certain that Arcturus, like his namesake, would light up any home he goes to! He's affectionate, and particularly fond of following humans around from room-to-room, watching as they do chores or hang around. When he notices you have a free hand, he likes to come up to you and headbutt to get your attention for some pets. He is a loving, chill kitty, ready to find his forever home!

Interceptor

At 6 pounds, Merino is small, but don't count her out of anything. When she gets the zoomies, she is as fast as lightning, and once she's worn out and comfortable, is a major snuggle princess. Merino has a playful spirit and gets what her foster calls "the rollies," where she rolls around, purring and letting out high-pitched trilling meows. Bighorn

Bighorn is a sweet guy who is adjusting to the big city life after being transferred to our care from Louisiana with his big (little!) sister, Merino. Bighorn is named after the sheep species, with their long, curled horns, as a nod to his unique cauliflower ear and singular antenna. The most important thing Bighorn needs in his forever home is someone who is willing and enthusiastic to snuggle. He wants his human to be engaged with him, so although he can play and entertain himself independently and with Merino, he deeply values human companionship. Bighorn may be quicker to snuggles than playtime, but it won't take long for him to bound after a toy mouse, feather wand, jingle ball, paper towel tube, or whatever else you can offer (or he can get into).

Tracy Chapman is a loving girl who, at 10 months old, knows exactly what she wants: love! She can be a bit shy at first, but her drive for affection outweighs any apprehension she initially feels. Once she warms up, she becomes an absolute lover. Tracy loves being picked up, showered in pets, and being doted upon! To show you her appreciation, she'll rub her face against your face, making you feel extra special.

Big Ben

True to his namesake, Big Ben is a big boy with an impressive vocal range, going from baritone meows to squeaky chirps, all depending upon his mood. He is curious and confident, being the first to investigate suspicious noises, birds outside the window, or those with free hands they could be using to pet him. Even though he's a chunky boy, he thinks he is the tiniest kitty in the world, and will climb into your lap the moment he sees the opportunity. His foster's favorite quirk of his is that Big Ben sees ice cubes as the ultimate feline delicacy, both as treats and toys. Chatty, gentle, and just a bit clumsy, Big Ben is a sweetheart who would thrive in any home.

Rhapsody

Whenever Rhapsody wants your attention, she reaches a paw out and pulls your hand in toward her face for some scritches, like she just can't wait for you to initiate the petting! She loves people and other cats, and has truly never met a stranger she hasn't immediately loved. When she sees other cats relaxing, she waltzes on over to start grooming them, and makes plenty of room for herself in cuddle-piles. She does have a playful spirit as well: she loves crinkle toys and "jackrabbiting" them while playing. This sweet little calico has so much love to give, and can't wait to find her forever person to give it to!

Judy

The name game: Judy! Judy, Judy bo Budy Bonana fanna fo Fudy, Fee fy mo Mudy, Judy!

Judy is such a fun, energetic, and purrrfectly soft long-haired kitten, ready to make herself at home with you! She gets along with anyone she meets, including other cats. She can be a bit timid at first, but springs right into action when she hears a toy rattle. After hours of fun, she loves to snuggle up and be close to you.

Prose

Prose is a petite little lady of few words who, once she's comfortable, emerges as a playful and rambunctious girl! She loves other cats, both as playmates and comforting companions, and can often be found batting around a toy with a feline friend, or snuggled up next to another kitty for a nap. When she's by herself, her favorite way to play is to stand claim to a cardboard box, or chase around balls and springs. Prose's perfect person is someone who wants an affectionate, yet independent kitty!

Tetra

Meet Tetra, who, at 5 months old, has already mastered the art of being a total lap cat, ready to settle in for cuddles any chance she gets. She loves mealtime (breakfast, lunch, dinner, or snack time, she's ready) and turns into a playful blur the moment a wand toy comes out. Come bedtime, Tetra is snuggling up right against your face, ready to wake up tomorrow and do it all over again!

Donna and Sophie

Mamma Mia! This mother-daughter duo is ready to find a forever home. Donna is a loving, doting mother to her little kitten, Sophie, with no time together slipping through her paws. Donna loves getting pets, and will never say no to some loving, but usually spends her time chasing after her energetic daughter. Sophie is a classically rambunctious kitten: she loves roping her mother into her roughhousing, and when she thinks no one is looking, shows off her goofy side through some intense play sessions. Together, they'd love to go home with someone who enjoys giving them attention, whether that be through pets or play, but who also gives them their space when they want some mother-daughter time too.

Fiji

Fiji may be the smallest of her litter, but don't count her out! She's a total chiller, who much prefers to observe the action before pouncing into everything herself. When in a playful mood, you can usually find her flouncing around with a pom-pom toy in her mouth, like the cute huntress she is. She loves being held, especially if you face her out toward the world so she can observe everything.

Voss

Voss takes his role as big brother very seriously, and can often be found clinging to his sister, Fiji, for playtime and snuggle time. His foster has given him the nickname "The Engineer," because they say they can "see the wheels turning in his head as he tries to figure out an obstacle." Talk about unstoppable kitten force! His perfect person is someone who can handle his bursts of playful energy, while also being prepared to handle his intense cuddling needs. He's just a baby!

Optimus Prime

David Bowie

David Bowie is the guy with the permanent wink on his face! He is an affectionate, cuddly companion is just as perfect as any cat could be. In foster, his days mostly consist of independent play time with as many toys as he can get his paws on, chasing his feline-siblings around, and curling right underneath his foster human's chin for snuggles. Don't get us started on David Bowie's singing, either: his meows are just a series of little squeaks! David Bowie would love to go home with someone who will reciprocate affection and playtime -- in return, he promises to be "an angel on Earth," as his foster described him.

Cassandra

Cassandra can see the future...she can see herself in your home! She's a calm and incredibly loving girl, always wanting to be close to her people. She'll walk right up and give you a few gentle licks when she's ready for some pets, and then back up like a little dumptruck to commence some serious back scratches! She's playing, and especially fond of chasing a toy around the house. She's the perfect fix of affectionate, playful, and adorably quirky -- plus, we think her cross-eyed look makes her all the more distinguished and easy to fall in love with!

Lettuce

Lettuce has been a dutiful mother to her garden variety of kittens, but now that each and every one has found their forever homes, it's clear: this two-year-old girl is still just a baby herself! Lettuce adores playtime, which she chooses to expend through cardboard box hangout sessions, batting around catnip toys, or playing with the other cats in our adoption center. When she's spent, Lettuce turns to her humans for some TLC. She loves getting pets right on her cheeks, or crawling into your lap for some back scratches. Her gentle and loving nature makes her perfect for any household, including ones with other pets (including dogs!)

Ragetti

Ragetti, the long-haired guy on the right, starts off as shy and reserved, but quickly becomes confident with encouraging pets and treats. Once comfortable, he's ready to show off just how sweet he is with his magnificent purr. Come meet him today!

Pintel

Pintel, the short-haired boy on the left, is rambunctious, lively, and full of capital-E energy! As a kitten, he's fearless and courageous, conquering any toy that dare stands in his way. He is adaptable, and would suit any home well.

Spinach

Spinach looks as if he got dressed in the dark -- his white socks don't match! His front paws have ankle socks, one of his back legs has a knee-high sock, and the last one has a crew sock. Although his outfit is a major social faux pas, his unique markings do make him super cute to look at! His favorite place to hang out is on the windowsill with the sun beaming down on him, belly-up and purring. He loves to play with a wand toy, and his favorite place to be pet is right behind his ears.

Sarah Paulson

This cutie is Sarah Paulson, and she's ready to find her forever home! Over the 75 days she's been in foster, Sarah Paulson has had the chance to blossom into the friendly, energetic, and curious cat she was born to be. She loves to be involved with whatever her humans are doing, and her perfect human would be someone wanting a little shadow to follow around all day long. She loves to observe her foster while they cook, sit right on top of their puzzles, or examine their sewing supplies while they sew -- like we said: curious! If she sounds perfect, come and meet her today and bring her home -- just make sure you have plenty of hair ties at home for her to play with, as they're her favorite.

Watercress

Watercress, or Lil' Peanut in her foster home, is a sweet grey-and-white girl who is just looking for someone to love! Although she needs a bit of adjustment time to warm up to new people, she has a strong desire for cuddles that quickly outweighs any apprehension she may have. She loves curling up next to her person at night, and purring herself to sleep.

Cloudy

Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy, and Windy all promise to be by your side, no matter the weather! Cloudy is rambunctious, to say the least. She is playful and active, always roping her siblings into her hijinks and mischief. If you want an energetic kitten to keep you on your toes, Cloudy is the girl for you!

Rainy

Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy, and Windy all promise to be by your side, no matter the weather! Although Rainy's name may remind you of dour weather, we promise that she is just a peach! She's a quiet girl who prefers a chill, calm environment -- her personality is like reading while rain hits your window. She loves to be held, however, and will purr contently when being pet.

Snowy

Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy, and Windy all promise to be by your side, no matter the weather! Snowy can be shy at first, but with a little bit of patience (and plenty of Churu treats!) she comes out of her shell and shows off her playful side. Once comfortable, she loves rolling around with her siblings and chasing wand toys heartily. When tuckered out, she'll come over to her most trusted human and wait patiently for the petting to start.

Windy

Cloudy, Rainy, Snowy, and Windy all promise to be by your side, no matter the weather! Windy is the friendliest kitten you'll ever meet -- she perks up as soon as she sees a human, and is always excited for playtime. She entertains herself well by batting her toys around or chasing her siblings, but Windy loves her humans most of all.

Forte

It's not everyday that you meet a father-daughter bonded duo, but Piano and Forte certainly are proof that it does happen, and it is just the cutest! Forte, the father, is one of the sweetest, calmest cats you'll ever meet. He has the gentlest personality, and takes Piano's kitten antics in stride. Whenever he settles down to relax, it's usually somewhere he can keep an eye on his daughter. No matter what she's up to, he's always quietly watching over her. As if he couldn't get any more adorable, Forte has six toes on each of his front paws, making him look like he's gotten mittens on!

Piano, in contrast, is a tiny bundle of endless energy. She's always hopping from one place to another like a little bunny, always curious and ready for her next adventure. Piano

It's not everyday that you meet a father-daughter bonded duo, but Piano and Forte certainly are proof that it does happen, and it is just the cutest! Forte, the father, is one of the sweetest, calmest cats you'll ever meet. He has the gentlest personality, and takes Piano's kitten antics in stride. Whenever he settles down to relax, it's usually somewhere he can keep an eye on his daughter. No matter what she's up to, he's always quietly watching over her. As if he couldn't get any more adorable, Forte has six toes on each of his front paws, making him look like he's gotten mittens on!

Kirby

Meet Kirby! Named after the pink puffball himself (and our Programs and Facilities Assistant!), Kirby is a playful and friendly companion who is ready to find his forever home. Kirby loves interacting with humans, and is especially fond of lap-sitting and lounging. When he's energized, he loves playing around with a wand toy, or scratching at his cat tower. If you want the best of both worlds, energized and loving, then Kirby is the cat for you!

Splish

Splish and Splash are two teensy kittens, ready to meow and mew their way into your heart! Splish, the male tabby cat, loves human attention and will gladly climb into your arms and purr his little heart out. Splash, his confident older sister, is just as chatty, and loves being on the receiving end of attention. There's one guarantee we have with these two: when they look up with you with those eyes that take up half their face, you won't be able to stop yourself from taking either of them home!

Splash

Mirage

At 10 years old, Mirage is a gentle older lady ready to find the perfect home to spend the rest of her years in! This girl is oh-so-cuddly, and will never say no to binge-watching a television series with you, so long as you have a lap and hand available for snuggles and pets. In turn, she'll reward you with her calming, consistent purr. Additionally, she's truly never met a stranger, and is happy to greet everyone new she meets like they are already her best friend.

BBQ

Sweet and tender? Sounds like BBQ to us! BBQ loves to follow his humans around from room-to-room, and lets out little high pitched, squeaky meows to ask for some attention. He is an incredibly curious boy who can often be found exploring every nook and cranny of home, and jumping up to high spaces to observe the world from up above. BBQ is a lovely companion who would thrive in a calm, loving home!

Vincent Price

There’s just something special about black cats, and Vincent Price is no exception. He isn’t like those other cats that immediately roll over for anyone—he takes his time and makes sure you are trustworthy. But, when he does decide you are worthy, he rewards you with tons of headbutts and the opportunity to pet the silkiest fur in the world. And, like his namesake, Vincent Price has a distinctive voice he uses to say hello when you enter the room. Cast in a patient home, Vincent can flourish into a starring role, or scene-stealing supporting performance.

Iron Man

Avengers, assemble! Iron Man is an adventurous and playful companion, ready to save the day AND look cute doing it. His superpower? He can turn anything -- and we mean anything! -- into a toy. He loves getting scritches, greeting people with chirpy meows, and following his humans around the house.

Magik

Magik is a young and hip cat, ready to make your acquaintance and then do whatever you want to do! Wands, springs, mice - you name it, and if it's in your hands, it's the coolest toy she's ever seen. At food time, she will eat whatever you put in front of her with no complaints. When it's bedtime, she'll find a cozy corner and go right to sleep. The only mistake you can make with this easy-going cat is not taking her home today!

Psyche

This gentle girl is Psyche, and she's looking for a peaceful home to settle into. She looooves to people watch, and can usually be found staring at you with her big, yellow eyes, perched on a windowsill or couch edge. Her favorite way to play is with a feather toy -- she gets the cutest zoomies! If you're looking to get on her good side, nothing entices Psyche more than a Churu treat.

Vader

If you're looking for a best friend, there to listen to you and respond back with grumbly meows, there to watch TV with you, or there to follow you around the house like a little shadow, Vader is, without a doubt, the guy for you. He takes all of 5 minutes to warm up to new people, as his love of attention always wins over. With just a bit of coaxing, Vader is out and about, flopping over to show off his tummy and get some belly rubs. Vader isn't a lapcat persay, but he promises to not leave your side, and will loudly ask for pets when he wants some specialized attention -- scratch his head, and you may just see him pop up on his two hind legs. He isn't particularly interested in toys or playing, but he loves to explore and chat with you about his findings!

Cupid Shuffle

Locomotion is the largest of her litter, and with that, the most confident -- she is playful, adventurous, and tends to take the lead with her siblings. Susanna

Susanna is a fluffy girl with storybook character eyes and a stunning personality to match. The best word to describe her is social. She loooves people: all she wants is to be held, cuddle into your lap, or fall asleep in your arms. The trust she has around new people is amazing to witness -- Susanna has truly never met a stranger, including young children, other cats, and dogs. Outside of her fondness for humans, Susanna loves to bat around a wand toy or chase toy mice around the house. Her perfect person is someone who doesn't mind playing with her to help get her zoomies out! If you've been wanting a sweet, playful, and social cat, Susanna is definitely your girl.

Ellis

Ellis is a sweet and silly boy, with little black-and-white splotches making him look like the world's smallest dairy cow! Ellis absolutely loves to play, whether it is with you or alone, oftentimes getting out-of-this-world zoomies! When he isn’t playing, you can find Ellis sleeping in unpredictable spots such as your TV stand, bar cart, dining room chair, or on top of a suitcase in your closet. Ellis is a confident guy, ready to find his forever home and follow you around to see what you’re up to, get some pets, or ask for a snack.

Sleep

Sleep first arrived at Paws and Claws with the name "Tired Mom," inspiring her children's sleepy monikers. However, calling Sleep "tired" was like calling the Titanic "a bit damp." Sleep was exhausted, and it is through the dedicated love of her foster (and an ungodly amount of meat pâté!) that Sleep blossomed into the loving, playful, and vibrant creature she is today. Now, she bounds toward her kittens in the morning, hops into their playpen to wrestle, followed by intense grooming and snuggling sessions. The spark is fully back in her eyes, bringing with it all the fierce, overwhelming affection a mother could possibly harbor for her six little goobers. When she isn't busy being an exceptional parent, she prefers to arrange herself decoratively—posing beautifully in the window, balancing on the ledge of the couch, or planting herself directly in your lap. She is entirely devoid of malice or anger, composed instead of pure, unadulterated affection. She will chirp, meow, and trot over to you at every available opportunity. Her foster would adopt her in a heartbeat if they possibly could, but instead, they must endure the tragedy of passing this absolute saint of a cat on to you.

Slumber

Slumber has consistently registered as the most diminutive of the litter, though what he lacks in bone density, he more than makes up for in sheer, unadulterated rebellion. While the other kittens were making clumsy, half-hearted attempts to breach the perimeter of their play yard, Slumber simply vaulted the barricade. He is less a feline and more of a tiny, furry trailblazer. He is a fierce, uncompromising defender of the rights of kittens—at least until someone rolls a plastic ball with a bell inside it across the floor. At that point, his convictions completely evaporate, and he decides that the playpen's conditions are, in fact, perfectly acceptable.

For all his grandstanding, you might expect this hardened revolutionary to have a bit of an edge. You would be wrong. Slumber is a complete fraud, a massive softy, and easily the most reliable purrer of the entire bunch. His motor engages the exact millisecond you lift his paws off the linoleum, long before he has even made contact with your chest. He is a tireless crusader for justice, provided you are willing to cradle him like an infant the entire time.

Siesta

Siesta is the sole female trapped in a fraternity house of five brothers, and she is right there in the trenches with them, matching their hooligan energy blow for blow. When she isn’t brawling with her brothers, she prefers to survey her kingdom from atop the orange ball tower, looking down on the rest of us with terrifying clarity. Despite her rowdy lifestyle, she is incredibly fastidious and keeps her paws impeccably clean—presumably so she can be held without leaving a smudge on your shirt. And she does insist on being held. She is, at her core, a remarkably sweet girl, a mellow little hypnotist who just happens to look like a plush toy.

Shuteye

Shuteye comes by his name with literal, unflinching honesty. He arrived at Paws and Claws with an infection so severe, it ultimately claimed his right eye. Please hold your pity, though, because Shuteye certainly doesn’t want it. Having a fifty percent reduction in his field of vision has done absolutely nothing to stunt his career as a bold, swashbuckling adventurer. If anything, it just gives him a rakish edge. He looks undeniably cool, like a tiny, furry pirate who might steal your jewelry but leave a thank-you note. You can practically hear the gears grinding in his little head as he maps out the room, drafting elaborate, multi-step blueprints for his next great escape. He views closed doors not as boundaries, but as personal insults. Yet, for all his grand bravado and insatiable thirst for exploration, he is fundamentally a mama's boy. He requires a frankly unreasonable amount of cuddling, and makes for an excellent little heating pad.

Nap

Nap is the undisputed captain of the football team and prom king of this particular litter. Do not let the massive, innocent eyes of our resident golden boy fool you, though. Beneath his polished exterior lies a stubborn streak of polite rebellion. Nap possesses a relentless curiosity, and the moment he realized he had the leg strength to vault over the playpen walls, he adopted escaping as his full-time profession.

You can catch him and place him back inside, and he won't struggle, scratch, or complain. He will simply accept his brief imprisonment with impeccable manners, wait for you to turn your back, and politely hop right back out. This silent war of attrition continued over and over until his foster finally surrendered, granting him exclusive, unsupervised rights to roam the bathroom whenever he tires of the commoners at playtime. He is, at his core, a fundamentally sweet boy whose greatest flaw is being exceptionally handsome, healthy, and entirely perfect. It is a terrible burden, to be sure, but somehow, he manages.
