GROUP VOLUNTEERING
Volunteering as a group is one of the most meaningful ways to support Paws and Claws Cat Rescue. When you volunteer together— whether as a corporate team, student organization, club, or group of friends— you help us create a cleaner, calmer, and more enriching environment for the cats in our care.
As a donation-funded, primarily volunteer-run rescue, we rely on community support to continue saving vulnerable cats from shelters where they are at risk of euthanasia. Your group’s time and teamwork directly support them and give them the stability they need while they wait for their forever home.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Group volunteer events typically run 2–3 hours, depending on your team’s preference and availability. Be ready to roll up your sleeves! Much of our work is hands-on and focused on maintaining a safe, healthy environment for the cats in our care. During your time with us, you’ll take on tasks from our ever-growing to-do list that often go beyond what our daily volunteers have time to tackle. Tasks may include:
-
Cleaning cat rooms and communal areas (sweeping, mopping, wiping down surfaces, sanitizing)
-
Deep cleaning cages, walls, baseboards, and windows
-
Sorting and organizing supplies
-
Unloading large shipments of food and litter
-
Running and folding laundry
And yes— you’ll have time to play with cats! We encourage groups to take photos and videos and share about your experience to help spread the word about our mission.
