I adopted him at the end of May 2026. I had visited a week before and was supposed to get another cat, but had a family emergency. The other cat was going to be adopted by another family. So, I was looking for a new one went in one of the rooms and sat down. Next thing I know this cat crawled into my lap and tucked his head in the crock in my arm. I knew he was mine if I never had a more clear sign. I picked him up a week later.

He had no problem adjusting he was purring and making biscuits from day one. I renamed him Raja after the tiger from the movie Aladdin. VanGogh for a middle name my favorite artist. Gaines cause it’s my last name lol. He is extremely curious and gets into everything lol. Had to get child locks cause he knows how to open cabinets and doors. He is incredibly smart.

He is very loving and likes to be held and rocked, loves his cat tree and looking out my huge windows and watch outside. It was a bit of an adjustment for me cause I wanted to make sure he was happy. He is happy and so am I. I am grateful and thankful for him. He came into a time of my life I really needed him. Cannot imagine my world without him. My Raja ❤️
