Jimmy (formerly Chevrolet)
In January of 2026, we’d found ourselves as a solo cat family. We had to say goodbye to our senior cat, Amy, at the end of 2025 and our four-year-old Joey was an only pet for the first time. He’d previously lived with two senior females, and they were both less than fond of his kitten energy so our biggest priority in bringing in a new cat was making sure they were compatible with him.
Enter Jimmy, formerly Chevrolet. We attended an adoption event at Paws & Claws and found ourselves smitten with the shyest kitten, who was all alone in the decompression room. Something about his demeanor reminded us of Joey, who is the sweetest guy around us but takes longer to warm up to everyone else. We spoke to some very helpful volunteers, who agreed it seemed like a good fit for Jimmy too. We brought him home that night.
Although it took some time to come out of his shell, meeting Joey helped Jim feel more at home. They quickly became the best of friends. We all love Jimmy, but we joke that he’s really Joey’s kitten. Thanks so much to Paws & Claws for helping to bring these boys together!
Love,
Erin G.
