A litter of four kittens arrived at Paws and Claws from a partner shelter in mid-July. Covered in feces and visibly ill, Polish, Burger, Brats, and Hotdog were just a few weeks old when their battle for survival began. During intake, our team discovered they had Feline Panleukopenia—a highly contagious and often fatal disease similar to Parvo in dogs.
Panleukopenia is heartbreaking to witness. It requires aggressive medication and a dedicated team to keep kittens alive. Despite the challenges, we were determined to give these little fighters every chance at survival. Though watching their tiny bodies struggle was gut-wrenching, we had seen cats overcome this disease before. Thanks to the unwavering support of Paw Print Club, we had the resources to provide the intensive care they needed.
Weeks passed, and the fragile four began showing signs of recovery. Their resilience amazed us. By the time they were ready to leave isolation and move into a foster home, they had transformed into thriving, playful kittens. Their journey wasn't easy, but today they're happy, healthy, and full of life in their forever homes.
When we face unexpected medical emergencies, Paw Print Club support ensures we can respond without hesitation. By joining, you'll help us save more lives and give sick, abandoned cats a second chance at life.
